Charter Rescheduling (charters only):

Rescheduling 7 days to 72 hours before your scheduled Chicago sailing charter will incur a charge of $25 and be subject to availability. 

Rescheduling 72 hours or less will be considered a cancellation and incur the same charges noted below under cancellations.

Cancellations for private charters:

Cancellations within 72-48 hours = charge of 50% of agreed full charter fee as well as a $25 administration fee.

48-24 hours = 75% of agreed full charter fee as well as a $25 administration fee.

Customer will be responsible for the full charter rate including taxes and a $25 administration fee for cancellations less than 24 hours or no shows.

Cancellations are confirmed only when acknowledged by a managing member of Go Sailing Chicago.

Any sailing charter or lesson cancelled by Go Sailing Chicago due to inclement weather will not incur any charge and we will reschedule your charter or lesson with you.

PLEASE NOTE: For special events including but not limited to 4th of July, the Chicago Air and Water Show, holiday weekends, etc, will incur extra charges as these times are highly valuable and are offered only once per year.

Special events charges are as follows:

Rescheduling is not allowed unless it is to move your charter up or back within an hour of it’s scheduled departure time.  To do so will incur a $25 administration fee if done 14 days or more in advance.  13 days or less will be at the discretion of a Go Sailing Chicago managing member and will incur a minimum charge of $75.  Rescheduling may not be available to you as other charters and Chicago sailing boat trips may be ahead or behind you in the schedule.

Any cancellations of special events 14-10 days in advance will be charged at 50% the agreed full charter fee, 10-7 days in advance at 75% the agreed full charter fee, and 7 days or less at 100% of the full charter rate including taxes and a $50 administration fee. 

Your Go Sailing Chicago sailboat charter may be delayed or even cancelled due to inclement weather or severe maintenance issues that arrive at the last minute.  If we see bad weather on the way we will call you as far in advance as possible.  Granted, predictions are just that, predictions.  Only if we feel the weather is unsafe or if there is constant rain will we reschedule or cancel a charter.  No fee will ever be charged for a cancellation or rescheduling by us.
